YouBreathe
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
YouBreathe is a breathing and wellness app for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and what control you have over it. In short: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, we show no ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
1. Who we are
YouBreathe is made by Albyte, an independent app developer. Albyte is the controller of your personal data. You can reach us at support@albyte.co.
2. Data we collect
Account data. When you create an account we store your email address and a user ID. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple shares your email (or a private relay address) and, if you allow it, your first name, which we use only to greet you in the app.
Practice data. The breathing sessions you complete: technique, start time, duration, rounds, and the mood you pick before and after a session. We also store progress that the app calculates from this: streaks, XP, level, achievements and your training days.
Onboarding answers. Your age range, your goal, and the signals you select during onboarding, used to suggest the right sessions.
Breath-hold and Lung Age results. The length of your breath holds and the Lung Age estimate the app derives from them.
Custom exercises and settings. Exercises you create, and preferences such as sound, haptics, voice coach, and reminder hours.
Apple Health data (optional). Only if you give permission, the app reads heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate and sleep from Apple Health to estimate your nervous-system state (the NS Score), and writes your completed sessions to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes. Raw Health readings stay on your device. Only the resulting NS Score and its component scores are saved to your account so your history follows you across devices.
Subscription data. If you subscribe, our subscription provider receives your purchase history and subscription status from Apple. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card or bank details.
3. Data we do not collect
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No third-party analytics or tracking tools.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
- We never sell or rent your data, and we never share Health data with anyone for advertising, marketing or data mining.
4. How we use your data
- To run the app: sign-in, saving your sessions, syncing between devices, and showing your stats.
- To personalise sessions and your NS Score.
- To unlock Premium features you have paid for.
- To answer you when you contact support.
5. Legal basis
- Contract: account, practice data, settings and subscription data are needed to provide the app you asked for.
- Explicit consent: Apple Health data and onboarding answers about how you feel are health-related data. We process them only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices, or by changing your answers in the app.
- Legitimate interest: keeping the service secure and responding to support requests.
6. Service providers
We use a small number of providers who process data only on our instructions:
| Provider | What it does | Data it handles |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database and sign-in | Account, practice data, settings, NS Score |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | User ID, purchase history, subscription status |
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, Apple Health | As described in Apple's own privacy policy |
Some of these providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
7. Notifications
Reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. Our servers store only your reminder preference (on or off, and the hours), never the notifications themselves. You can turn reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings.
8. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, sessions, scores, custom exercises and settings are permanently deleted from our database. Apple and RevenueCat may keep purchase records as required by tax and accounting law.
9. Deleting your account
Open the app → Settings → Delete Account. This deletes your account and all associated data right away. If you can no longer access the app, email support@albyte.co from your account's email address and we will delete it within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email support@albyte.co. We reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Security
All data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our database uses row-level security, so each account can read and write only its own data.
12. Children
YouBreathe is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
13. This website
albyte.co uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for a short time for security.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will let you know in the app.
